Combat Trains

The portion of unit trains that provides the Combat Service Support (CSS) required for immediate response to the needs of forward tactical elements. At company level, medical, recovery, and maintenance elements normally constitute the combat trains. At battalion, the combat trains normally consist of ammunition and Petroleum, Oils, and Lubricants (POL) vehicles, maintenance/recovery vehicles and crews, and the battalion aid station.
