One who has joined the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) and has taken the Party Pledge as required in the CPP constitution. Party members are categorized into two: a) full member (FM) or Ganap na Kasapi (GK)- one who has received a high degree of ideological indoctrination and is actively engaged, overtly or covertly, in Party work; and has served the Party as a candidate member for at least six (6) months to one year; b) candidate member- one who is undergoing a probationary period of six months to one year prior to acceptance as a full member; and is actively engaged in Party work.
