    This reference material is a story of the unsullied patriotism and epic heroism of the Filipinos in arms during the different stages of the nation’s history. It recounts the revolts staged against Spanish colonial rule, the     Philippine- American War and the defense against Japan in World War II. It narrates the story of the AFP’s participation in multinational peacekeeping role and its significant contributions in nation building.     This reference material describes the AFPs agenda in mission accomplishment, social responsibility and capability development in order to cope up with the challenges of the new security environment.
