Is the product of applying analysis and judgment to the common operational picture to determine the relationships among the factors of Mission Enemy, Terrain and Weather, Troops and Support Available, Time Available and Civil Considerations. It enhances decision making by identifying opportunities, threats to the force or mission accomplishment, and information gaps. (PAM 3-00)
