The purpose of this manual is to provide doctrinal guidelines for the commanders and staff in the conduct of Analysis Support Element Operations.      This manual also provides the fundamental principles that will guide the Philippine Army in the conduct of ASE operations. It contains important aspects of ASE operations such as its mission, composition and capabilities, operations, employment, resources and support.      Further, it also outlines the basis for training and development of analysts. ASE operations serve as the anchor of intelligence production capability development thru the procurement of automated analytical tools and other mission essential equipment needed to see the operational environment in real time.
