This manual provides fundamentals and details about Army Aviation Operations during maneuver, maneuver support, and sustainment missions. It gives ground forces and ground forces commander a clear understanding on the employment of Army Aviation. It covers planning, specific systems, and the criteria in the conduct of Aviation Operations.      The manual covers specific tasks and capabilities of an armed reconnaissance helicopter unit, medium lift multi-purpose helicopter unit, MEDEVAC unit, fixed wing light utility aircraft, maintenance unit, and air traffic services.
