This manual provides a standard and ready reference on the employment of air power in support to Philippine Army operations, and a better understanding of the unique task being executed by the Army Aviation Service as a significant component of the combined arms team.           This manual covers missions, methods of employment, operations, and the various service and support functions required by Army Aviation.      “Army Aviation” refers to aviation personnel, aircraft, and allied equipment organic to a unit. An “Army Aviation unit” is an organization comprised predominantly of aviation personnel and aircraft whose purpose is to provide aviation support to Philippine Army units with no organic aviation and without the usual day-to-day need for this support.
