This manual sets forth the principles, functions, procedures and guidance to all commanders, staffs and personnel of the Office of the Inspector General on how the Inspector General Service works in the Philippine Army.      This also covers the system and procedures involved in the conduct of inspections, investigations and research. It also describes the role of IGS performance throughout the levels of command on matters pertaining to the effectiveness; efficiency; economical utilization of resources; and state of discipline, morale and welfare of personnel of the Philippine Army.
