Army Physical Fitness PAM 8-0109

The Army Physical Fitness Manual (PAM 8-0109) establishes a fundamental doctrine on physical fitness. It is intended for use as a guide and reference for the standard implementation in the conduct of physical and combat fitness programs of the Philippine Army. Its ultimate objective is to help Army leaders plan and implement programs that will improve and maintain physical and combat fitness of their respective units. This manual also condenses concepts introduced in SP 8-037 to incorporate concise and specific training approaches to physical fitness. The programs will greatly benefit each soldier of refreshing physical fitness training; enhancing combat effectiveness and efficiency, and improving mental alertness. This will also benefit the Unit Commanders and Staffs, doctrine developers and writers, Army training schools and centers, individual Army officers and enlisted personnel. Thus, will provide the necessary general information to promote combat survivability. The proponent of this manual is the Combat Fitness and Wellness Development Center (P), Training and Doctrine Command, Philippine Army. However, Doctrine and Capabilities Integration Center (P), TRADOC, PA is responsible for the review and updating of this material.
