The purpose of this manual is to provide the readers doctrinal principles, concepts and procedures of counterintelligence that are responsive to contemporary operational environment.           This manual expands doctrine contained in PAM 2-00 and seeks to establish doctrinal principles and concepts for counterintelligence. Its contents are oriented on active or passive measures primarily designed to counter potential and real enemy initiatives and to safeguard ones organization and capability against enemy actions. It integrates topics that serve as valuable guide in the conduct of counterintelligence operations in the local setting. Specific procedures however are provided in other doctrine manual.           This manual is designed for use by commanders, staffs and trainers at the tactical environment. It is a valuable reference material for Army schools and as basis for counterintelligence operations doctrine and combat developments.           The proponent of this manual is The Intelligence School, Intelligence Security Group, Philippine Army.
