     This manual describes engine-generator use in the field including load determination, generator selection, installation, connection, operation, controls and instruments, parallel operations, operational maintenance, fuel supply and storage.      It outlines the characteristics and applications of a family of engine generators with ratings from 0. kw to 200 kw designed to meet the majority of military applications.      The manual also covers the following safety precautions: wiring practices, fusing, and safety inspections necessary for engine-generator system. However, permanent installation of generators, distribution systems and maintenance procedures for specific items of equipment are not covered in this manual.
