This reference material provides technical information, training techniques, and guidance outlining the seven (7) battlefield operating system (BOS) as a framework, and as the engineer combat platoon is integrated in the combined arms team. The focus of the platoon’s mission is concentrated in the mobility, counter-mobility and survivability portions in support of mobility and survivability BOS. Platoon leaders and Sergeant however, should take into consideration the platoon’s role in the BOS and the impact of the latter to the platoon’s planning, preparation and execution.
