This manual will serve as guide for Philippine Army (PA) engineer unit commanders and staff in planning, coordinating, and implementing general engineering (GE) missions. It delineates the role of general engineering and the tasks that GE can provide to support military operations and activities.      This manual prescribes the concepts and methods of performing GE tasks. The contents of this manual are based on the PA operational concepts pertaining to engineer operations. It also adopted the applicable concepts, principles, planning and design models, and facility criteria from foreign manuals as cited.
