In today’s nature of the military’s role in internal security operations, it is often that soldiers are immersed in the communities that have become the subject of the “battle of the hearts and minds” between government forces and lawless elements. Often, even in some unexpected instances, small, tactical actions have serious strategic repercussions. This is the result when the legal and psychological aspects of conflict are brought into the battlefield.      Soldiers are often not prepared in such predicament.
