This manual provides the authoritative guide for infantry division operations especially in the near term when the Philippine Army mainly focus on external defense. It lays the established fundamental principles in the conduct of infantry division full spectrum operations, sustainment, and other forms of operations. As the basic manual of the infantry division, it also stipulates the concepts of command and control, command and support relationships and the roles of the commander and Staff. This will also provide guide for the division’s warfighting functions and capability in relation to a higher command. There are instances that the guides published herein are stated in broader terms. This is to allow the commander and staff a wider range of flexibility to accomplish the intent of higher commands especially in the onset of joint operations in a joint operational area. This publication will be the references of the following: Unified Command Staff Infantry Division Commander and Staff Infantry Brigade Commander and Staff Infantry Battalion Commander and Staff 4.
