This reference material expands doctrine contained in PAM 2-00 and seeks to establish doctrinal principles and concepts for intelligence operations. Its contents which are oriented on intelligence role in maximizing efficiency and effectiveness of combat operations, integrates topics that serve as valuable guide in the conduct of intelligence operations in the local setting.      Specific procedures however are provided in other doctrine manual. FC 2-01, though containing some topics applicable to higher level planning, is designed for use by commanders, staffs and trainers at the tactical environment. It is a valuable reference material for Army schools and as basis for intelligence operations doctrine and combat developments.
