The purpose of this manual provides information and guidance for commanders and staffs in the conduct of mechanized infantry operations. It also serves as a foundation of broad basic doctrinal concepts of mechanized infantry operation in the Philippine Army.      This also provides the basic doctrines for the employment of mechanized infantry offensive, defensive, and other mechanized infantry tactical operations. The organization of mechanized infantry units depends on the nature and mission given, thus, the discussions presented in this book will deal primarily on mechanized infantry units. Operations peculiar to each unit will be discussed in separate manuals. The operations discussed in this manual are generally geared towards conventional and unconventional warfare both present and future threats to include special operations like counterinsurgencies and most importantly against hybrid threats. This was made to suit the needs of the Present Philippine Army and its capabilities that are to be developed. These concepts and doctrines are not rigid.
