
The purpose of this manual is to provide standard administrative and operational guidelines for the officers and enlisted personnel assigned in the military intelligence battalion (MIB). The guidelines set forth in this manual are not intended to be inflexible nor limiting and should, therefore, be applied with skill and judgement for the accomplishment of the mission. This also covers information pertaining on the administrative and operational aspects of MIB. Likewise, this manual also discusses the role of MIB and its distinction to other intelligence units of the Philippine Army. This manual will serve as reference for commanders, staff officers, NCOs and intelligence operatives of the military intelligence battalion. The proponent of this manual is the Philippine Army Intelligence Center of Excellence, Army Intelligence Regiment (P). However, Doctrine and Capability Integration Center (P), Training and Doctrine Command, Philippine Army is responsible for the review and updating of this publication.
