Opposing Forces (Democratic Republic of Checkia) PAM 8-0111

One of the primary functions of the Land Warfare Center, TRADOC is to develop land warfare scenarios to be used in training exercises. In the scenario development process, data on the operational environment is needed to be able to come up with a realistic scenario. However, TRADOC lacks the necessary approved manuals on notional enemy doctrines (Conventional Threat, Non-Conventional Threat, and Non-Traditional Threat) which will serve as reference and basis in the formulation of appropriate exercise scenarios. This conventional threat manual will serve as reference and guide in the formulation of scenarios not only by the Land Warfare Center but by other TRADOC centers and schools as required in exercises and other trainings. This manual will also serve as an aid in the crafting of micro scenarios for the conduct of specific exercises. Moreover, this manual contains information that are notional and do not describe a specific state and/or military organization. Hence, data derived herein shall be used for training purposes only. The proponent of this manual is the Land Warfare Center, Training and Doctrine Command, Philippine Army. However, the Doctrine and Capability Integration Center (P), TRADOC, PA is responsible for the review and updating of this publication.
