The purpose of this manual is to prescribe principles, systems, and procedures for the signal operations. It is intended to help signal corps and signal assigned personnel to understand and implement PA communications systems utilizing different categories of signal communications. Also, this addresses the role and responsibilities of signal personnel and serves as a guide for signal planning during the military decision-making process. This manual provides information and guidance for the Philippine Army personnel in planning, preparation, execution and assessment of their individual mission at all points along the signal support operational environments. This also guides commanders in performing command and control, and administrative functions to accomplish their mission. It describes the broad framework to guide the management and employment of signal support operations. It covers the overview of signal operations to the Philippine Army, the roles, and responsibilities of Army signal organizations. Specifically, it includes information and communication technology (ICT) infrastructure, signal support operational environments; fundamentals of PA signal support; planning and execution; and sustainment of signal operations, which is critical to extend the signal support in every army operation. The proponent of this manual is the Army Signal Regiment, Philippine Army.
