Purpose This manual provides the Infection Control Procedure Guide to be adopted by the Philippine Army Hospitals and other health care and dental facilities as well as guidelines, procedures, instructions, and standards in the delivery of competent, effective and cost-effective patient care. This publication is intended to provide the health care workers (HCWs) of the Philippine Any Hospitals and other health care and dental facilities with a clear understanding of the preventions and/or control of monomial infections.      This manual establishes the policies and procedures necessary to prevent and control hospital acquired infections and safeguard the health of the personnel. Furthermore, the manual will make HCWs aware that their concerted efforts in the hospital playa significant role in curtailing infection thereby hastening patients' recovery and reducing the hospitals budget allocated for antibiotic treatment.
