This publication intends to provide the logistics direction and guidance for overall Army logistics support structure. By applying the herein logistics concepts and principles, and integrating allocated resources through efficient and effective logistics management and operations within the imposed economic constraints, the Army's logistics mission of providing the soldier in the field with what is needed, when, where and in the condition and quantity required with the minimum expenditure of resources, will indeed be attained.
