This publication provides concepts and basic guidance necessary for the conduct of riverine operations of the Special Forces Regiment (Airborne), SOCOM, PA. It will assist field commanders in planning the conduct of Riverine Operations.      The publication describes riverine operation as an operation conducted to seize and control a riverine area. It subsequently discussed the fundamentals of controlling a riverine area, movement formations and techniques, sustainment operations, task organization of a riverine force, waterborne operations, small boat navigation and maintenance operations.
