This manual will serve as a guide in the recruitment and attrition-its modes and processes of Philippine Army active military personnel.      This also contains the fundamentals, sources and process of recruitment of PA personnel by procurement and employment of individuals who possess the necessary skills, knowledge and aptitude thru advertisement, selection, appointment, training, and enlistment or commissionship of officers in the military service.      The recruitment of Army personnel herein refers only to call to active duty of Inactive commissioned officers, commission of regular officers and enlistment of new entrants. It does not include recruitment of reservists and civilian employees, extension of tour of active duty and re-enlistment.
