This manual establishes the doctrine for planning, preparation, execution and evaluation in the conduct of tank operations in the Philippine Army and joint operations with other services.      This also provides principles, techniques, tactics, and procedures for employment of tank units and an authoritative reference for doctrine, materiel, force structure, training and Standard Operating Procedure development.      It covers the operational principles in the employment of tank assets. It also provides commanders and staff with guidance in the planning and execution of tank operations.
